IT IS THE PRIMARY MISSION OF EACH AND EVERY STAFF MEMBER OF THE BUTLER COUNTY JAIL:
- TO PROTECT THE SAFETY, SECURITY, AND ORDERLY OPERATION OF THE JAIL;
- TO PROTECT AND TO SERVE THE PUBLIC; AND
- TO PROVIDE A CONSTITUTIONAL LEVEL OF CARE TO ALL PRISONERS.

All programs at the Butler County Jail are structured to create an environment for positive change in the offender's life, so they can better serve the community as productive citizens when released.
The Butler County Jail Work Program works Monday-Friday on a daily basis county wide. The Inmates mow, weed-eat, pick-up trash, and assist the city and county in any other areas needed.
GED and Substance Abuse Programs
We also offer GED, NCRC, A/A, N/A, and Celebrate Recovery Programs.
Church and Bible Study are also available for all Inmates housed in the Butler County Jail.
MRT/Anger Management counseling services are also on site.
Inmate Visitation at the Butler County Jail is held weekly on both Wednesday and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Visitors with pending Drug Charges are Prohibited from visiting, all Visitation Logs are checked after each visit for Visitors with pending Charges. Schedule Wednesday visits on Monday via phone 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Schedule Saturday visits on Friday via phone 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM.
New Arrestees must be housed in our facility for a minimum of 5 days before being permitted to visit an inmate in the Butler County Jail.
Modest apparel is required for visitors and the jailer has the right to refuse visitation to anyone not following these guidelines.
Anyone under the age of 18 is not permitted without an adult.
Property will be accepted Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm ONLY. NO EXCEPTIONS
The only incoming mail that will be accepted must come into the facility on a Post Card. We will not accept written letters in envelopes at the door or via mail.
All money dropped at the Butler County Jail door should be in an envelope with the Inmates name.
Any other property dropped at our facility will be destroyed.
This is the only property that will be accepted at the Butler County Jail door for inmates:
Cash or Money order(Money orders or cash, Mailed must be addressed to Butler Co Jail and should be payable to the Butler County Jail with the inmate's name listed below on the money order). All money orders must state, ATTN: Inmate Accounts
